Niced tabbed browsing. To bad it was a catch-up thing. I wonder what it would have been like if explorer were the first to have tabbed browsing

Is there anything which Microsoft comes with first? 99% of what MS (optically) does, is stolen work. Off course this Tab browsing is one of the features which made me an FF lover (Opera had it first by the way).

Microsoft had one of the first tab browsers - it just wasn't a pure web browser. VIsual Studio .NET 2002 can be used for tabbed browsing. It was before Opera came out with tabbed browsing if I am not mistaken. Long before Mozilla or Firefox anyway :)...

Well, unfortunately, you are quite mistaken. Netscape had tabs in '97, and Mozilla and Opera had both implemented them before the Vis Studio trick of 2002. See http://weblogs.mozillazine.org/asa/archives/008433.html for more detail.

Then I stand corrected. Except, you mixed up Netcaptor with Netscape. At least MS had a tabbed browser for quite some time in one way or another ;)...

imagine if microsoft receive a patent for the tabbed browsing! ahahah! after i read this at kopete webpage i think it's possible:

<Microsoft received a patent on "Activity Monitoring" for Instant Messaging systems. This patent would seem to cover the MSN Messenger messages that say: "Sally is typing now...">

pathetic.. stop patents now!!

Man you anti-microsoft people whine a lot! Get jobs you hippies! Anyways IE 7 looks okay at best. Vista as a whole looks good so far. But IE is bringing them down. As of now I use IE 6 for almost all my browsing except for Opera which I use for tabs and mouse strokes. This version of IE has a crappy button structure that makes it almost impossible to customize. As for Microsoft "stealing" everything, I just have to laugh. Being naive is punishment enough :-)
