Good, Microsoft. Very good.

That is if you're planning on building your UI to replicate the OS X. Well, in this case Safari RSS. But in the final version of Longhorn, who knows?

What? Why cant Microsoft stick to their own GUI design guidelines and not put the damn menubar below the address bar and tabs. Contrary to Microsofts belief, rearranging the bars like that does not increase usability. I think they are just running out of ways to do things and rearrange everything so it looks new.

Me said:

You cretins, you can move the toolbars and menubar around any way you please in the current version of IE, and you will be able to in the next version. It's just arranged that way in that particular screen capture.

Good news for IE engine lovers: It is slowly cathching up. With this pace IE will be at level with all other webbrowsers in a year or two. IE7, perfect for the internet the way it was in the year 2001.

If Microsoft entirely removes ActiveX from this version of IE, then it should be good. The big problem with IE, is the ability to run scripts and executables without the knowledge of the user. Someone can get some form of spyware into their Windows installation, and usually users are unaware of this. Trojans can also be propagated into the system, as well as worms... through ActiveX. Microsoft's flagship technology, for IE... is really the main reason people don't use it. As a side note, the eye-catching GUI could do nothing ot make me use it, I use FreeBSD. As a former windows user, I couldn't see myself using anything but Firefox, Mozilla, or Opera on that machine anyway. Netscape seems just as bad as IE to me anyway... for different reasons (mainly extreme bloat in the current version.) - I'd like to see browser developers stop focusing on UI design, and producing better software. We see this with Seamonkey and Firefox, and with Opera... Safari is nice too, though I haven't actually gotten to use it. In my opinion, IE is probably the browser most people want to use, but I personally hate it, and have good reason. I hope Microsoft corrects the problems, if they do, their software will be jsut as compelling as any.

Hey... we are looking at screenshots, aren't we? So we're commenting the UI. If we were looking at the source (but we never will) we would've commented the engine.

they just take a bit of firefox, a little from safari, copy some of the opera-features, add a dozen of bugs and there it is - IE7

Back in the day MS innovated alot, especially with web standards, now they tend to concentrate on other stuff, apparently... like security it seems like (which IMO is good).
So, MS does innovate, just, not as fast as before.

Captain Jean Luc Picard said:

Dear cretins,

I feel compelled to clear up a few points because it seems that you are not intelligent enough to deduce the following on your own:

Issue 1. The analogy of comparing a program's look and feel to that of a wheel is erroneous. If anything, a program's look and feel is analogous to the look and feel of a wheel i.e. spoke configurations, color schemes, size, et cetera. I shouldn't have to continue this analogy because hopefully you have the mental capacity required to be perfectly capable of extrapolating my point.

2. Considering that the only examples of Internet Explorer 7 we have to examine and comment on are screenshots, there is no conceivable way to comment on the browser's supposed functionality. As a result, the only thing a reasonable person can do in a situation such as this is to comment on what appears in the screenshot. In this case, the screenshot of Internet Explorer 7 shows Microsoft's attempt to clone Apple's look and feel by way of the Safari-esque RSS browser. In addition, you will notice that the title bars and confirmation dialog buttons identically mimic faux shiny plastic visual effects seen in OS X 10.4 Finder bar.

I hope the readers of this site are capable of enjoying such an eloquently constructed blurb as this.

Happy internetting, basement dwellers.

U guys are too much stressed! Looking for senseless aguments to depress the Program... Go live for a while... U know:

- Internet Explorer bar Arrangement is always changeable... U can rearange the bars, so no Bug deal with the Address Bar beign on top... It may be the one that's presenting the software configuration.

- U dont even know how It works. For me It has nothing like Firefox... and I like firefox much...

- BillGates OWNS a small percentage of Apple Computers... so dont say they are copying... maybe the same developers are on both sides.

- Personally I just want security added and PNG-24 Native Support... :P

Secondly this browser just simply looks like a copy of firefox. the true m$ way to copy something and claim it as their own.

Lol...whatever. With the huge gap between each release they should have the most advanced browser on the market because they have had more than enough time to come up with one. Even tabbed browsing would be a decent start.
