Checked my Technet login and downloading as we speak 3 hrs to go!Also got Ultimate, home basic and busines keys from technet.

Should be installed by the morning![:D]

For what it's worth, my MSDN account is showing four different keys - Ultimate, Home Basic, Home Premium and Business.

Vista RTM is on Connect as well for qualified BTs.

Sure wish I was able to enjoy the moment with the rest of you. And MSDN subscription was just a little to big nut to crack. I will just have to wait till January.

I just bought a Technet Direct Subscription for $349.00. That's not bad. Downloading RTM right now.

How many times can you activate the MSDN keys? What about TechNet?

I don't know about MSDN, but you can activate the TechNet keys as many times as you want on the same machine and you can use the key on up to 10 PCs

I should get myself on TechNET - I got MCSE back in April. Perhaps it's cheaper for me to get 12 months subscription of TechNET instead of paying for Vista !

How long does it take when I bought a TechnetDirect-subscription to get my ID to login and download and geht a product key?

DavidJOnes: I just ordered my technet Directo subscription - it only took about a day to process before they emailed me my technet ID so I could log in and start downloading. Definetely worth it, as f.ex Longhorn Server Beta is in there as well..

phpmaven: WHere did you find the number of machines you can active on? I've been looking for this in the technet eula but never found anything...

I seem to be able to get every key except Ultimate - guess they need to add more ;) I remember this happened with beta 2. It'll probably work in a day or two.

Don't forget you can install Ultimate in "trial" for 30 days and then add the key after installation. Can't wait to actually get the RTM build on my box, after all these years of testing!

so i got german today from MVL. but no key there.

where is the difference from X13/X12 - anyone knows ??

Is anyone managing to pull this at a reasonable speed?  My MSDN seems to be capped at 40Kb/s. Obviously it's extremely busy, so it could be that, but what speeds are others getting?  I'm in the UK and have 8Mb DSL (lucky enough to be 95m from the exchange and get the full 8Mb).  Is anyone getting anything better?

I´m trying to download from connect and MSDN, but with no success!!

I´m from Brazil and the speed here is around 20-30 KB/s on a 4MB Cable.

I think MS was not prepared for that! [:(]

I saw it this morning, but it's gone as of this evening...

I successfully downloaded it but it was a nightmare... the connection was always lost. However in the other time the speed was 150-230 KB/sec. (I'm from Hungary.)

I'm an unofficial beta tester, I submitted many bugs but I can't access to connect/MSDN because I'm not an official beta tester [:'(]

bear_luke, don't think this is going to happen from here.  I have a friend who is in the same position, was an unofficial beta tester, and he's going to have to wait.  Two reasons really, 1 is that it would be wrong for anyone to post it to torrent from their msdn/mvls/connect as it would breach just about every term in their licensing.  2, nobody in their right mind would let you have one of their product keys.  The product keys are subscription specific and nobody is going to let their key go out to the world.  Also, I hear Vista is much better at blocking fake keys, and that trying to run the OS by working around this is just more hassle than it's worth.

Your best bet will be to wait until January, or, you could check some of the offers around where XP can be purchased and it comes with a voucher to upgrade to Vista once it's released.

Still cant get an ultimate key from msdn, still fails. But my download completed, im going to start testing my dev stuff on final vista and hope my key is working within 30 days :)

Yesterday I have downloaded Vista from MSDN - with big problems, the transfer was interrupted many times with many obscure error messages like that the image on the server is corrupt.

Also getting the keys was not easy, it returned error message all the day but in the night I was successful.

And now Vista disappeared both from the enu and from the announcement of new downloads.

Absolutely no information nor on the MSDN Subscriptions website, nor on the MSDN Subscriptions blog http://blogs.msdn.com/msdnsubscriptions/default.aspx

so i looked for german version on msdn today... vista isnt on msdn now :( they took it away`?
