Microsoft has released several updates to improve the reliabiliy and compatibility of Windows Vista in certain scenarios. The issues resolved by these updates are detailed in the following Knowledge Base articles:

So these are the patches they talked about releasing before SP1, though this will also be in the final version of SP1 early next year.   I wonder if they'll have more of these before SP1 later on, like in January maybe?

It's good to see they're working on performence and reliablitlity/stability like this.  I never remembered Win2k or XP getting these sorta patches in the past.
