This mornig I noticed that the SUS servers got an "update", but it removed the Windows Installer 3.1 from the repository. It is also withdrawn from the MS download site and Support site.

I guess there are issues, I'm investigating what is going on.

Unless SUS is different from WSUS RC, I think you are referring to Windows Installer 3.1 Beta ?

I've had Windows Installer 3.1 Beta expired on my server recently, but the 3.1(.0?) is still available to clients.... [:S]

I have several programs that would not install with installer 3.1 installed. Sounds like it is a problem

Initially there was a 3.1 RC (revision 52) on my WSUS server,

on 4/12/2005 replaced by revision 53 without the RC remark, just plain 'Microsoft Windows Installer 3.1'

on 4/13/2005 replaced by revision 54

on 4/15/2005 replaced by revision 56

That version is still on my WSUS server
I Guess they still have to pull it from the WSUS repository
