OK, so the Origami website has been updated this week.  It gives us little new information and says more will be released in 7 days time (9th March 2006).  The mystery continues...right!

If you have time, check it out here, but it's basically exactly the same as last week.

I really thought Microsoft would have given us more information this week, especially considering the heart of the story was revealed last week.  Still, we don't know the final design yet...well, not at the moment anyway!

EDIT:  Just looking at a news.com article on this and they made note if you right click on the page, outside of the Flash display and view the page source it clearly says "Origami Project: the Mobile PC running Windows XP."

News.com goes on to say:

"Although Microsoft continues to play somewhat coy, sources have provided a pretty clear picture of the mini-tablet devices. They will carry Microsoft's software, but be made by several other companies, sources have said. They will also be larger than a typical handheld computer, with at least some of the devices using a roughly 7-inch screen."

Well let's hope that this stuff is available very soon after the announcement. I really hate companies that take make big fuzz only to tell people that the stuff will be available 6 or 9 months later. So I hope at least it will be in stores 4-6 weeks after the big announcement.

About Spy

Hello world, as they say. I'm in Melbourne Australia and work as a Systems Administrator. I go to work every day with a smile on my face as I just love my work. Our company works across 30+ sites around the state so I travel a bit. We use mostly MS products, IBM hardware and 100% Cisco networking...it's a sweet mix for sure. I've been around Bink's site since it's inception way back when it was just a group on the MS site...that was a while ago. Bink.nu is the leading source of Microsoft news on the web that's for sure and I love being a part of Steven's team. Anyway, hope you enjoy the site.
