Microsoft Corp. is in discussions with Verizon Wireless to launch a touch-screen multimedia cellphone on the carrier's network early next year, in a bid to compete with Apple Inc.'s iPhone, people familiar with the matter said.

this rumor, then theirs the launch of V that facebook fighter, as g4 is calling it... just seems to be a good day all around if you ask me... i really hope the phone is true im growing tired of my iphone and want something new, and i love my zune.
