SAN FRANCISCO — Jan. 31, 2006 — Today at the annual SpeechTEK West convention in San Francisco, Microsoft Corp. highlighted the recent successes of its software partners in bringing to market a diverse set of packaged speech applications built on Microsoft® Speech Server, the company’s interactive voice response (IVR) and speech recognition solution. The more than 20 packaged speech applications that have been certified by Microsoft to date demonstrate how companies across all industries can utilize the flexible Speech Server platform to deploy the next generation of IVR solutions.

Certified speech applications help deliver fast time to market and return on investment (ROI) by providing customers with reusable code and proven voice-response solutions. Microsoft expects the number of certified speech applications to double within the next year based on the current development pipeline and momentum from more than 70 Microsoft Speech Server partners.

Independent software vendors (ISVs) such as Advanced Technology and Research Inc. (ATR), bridgeSpeak and VoiceMetrix have deployed packaged solutions built on Microsoft Speech Server, with a number of customers delivering substantial ROI.

About Spy

Hello world, as they say. I'm in Melbourne Australia and work as a Systems Administrator. I go to work every day with a smile on my face as I just love my work. Our company works across 30+ sites around the state so I travel a bit. We use mostly MS products, IBM hardware and 100% Cisco networking...it's a sweet mix for sure. I've been around Bink's site since it's inception way back when it was just a group on the MS site...that was a while ago. Bink.nu is the leading source of Microsoft news on the web that's for sure and I love being a part of Steven's team. Anyway, hope you enjoy the site.
