Last month, on the Zune Insider blog, a Zune firmware update was promised to be released on March 20.  This update was an important one, as many people (including me) are having problems with purchased Zune Marketplace music "skipping" in the begining of the songs.

The Zune Insider now has a new post today, saying the update will be out "soon".  There are already 24 comments of disapointment to this post.

Zune users want their player to correctly play the music which they pay for.  If there was a problem with the firmware, get a fix out the door ASAP.  Don't update anything, or add new features - just fix the existing problem.  Oh, and don't make people wait over a month to correct a huge problem.  After all, if a music player can't even play music well, then there is a serious problem.
