Microsoft stated, MSDN and TechNet Plus will both be able to download RC1 this week.  The public will be able to get there hands on RC1 shortly after that.  They only gave it to the beta testers before the weekend as a thank you for all there hard work.

No, x86 & x64 versions are seperate ISOs.   The 6GB is the total size of both .ISO files.
