Following on from the recent launch of the video marketplace for the Xbox 360, many users who suffer from regional download barriers, simply created fake accounts from outside America. Microsoft have now decided to crack down on the problem by banning IPs from one region that is used to access another, these accounts will simply be deleted.

This was highly expected, as it was widely believed that Microsoft would not tolerate this for long. The automatic bans mean that users will not be able to create multiple accounts to access foreign marketplaces, or for any other reason for that matter.
