for those that were not aware, we recently announced that effective November 1st, 2008, OEM's will no longer be able to license Windows for Workgroups 3.11 in the embedded channel. About a year and a half ago I was in Las Vegas at the Star Trek Experience (at the Hilton Hotel) and the controls for the Klingon ride appeared to be WFW 3.11 controlling the lap bars.   When we got out of the ride (it is one of those things with ~6 rows of about 6 seats that moves around on hydrolics while a movie is played in front of the front window), I saw the controls that the ride operator used to ensure that all the seats were ready to start.   All the windows had the WFW 3.11 look & feel to them.

My thought at the time was, "I hope that thing isn't on the network..."
