No more crappy mobile broadband software, just a drivers that supports the native Windows 7 mobile broadband platform. With signal strength indicator just like Wi-Fi.
This is how it looks like in the networking “jumplist”

<-Speed is not accurate, because I get about 4.6 Megabit (590 KB/sec)
<-Nice option “Connect Automatically” together with “only connect if no other Internet connection is available”
I do not know about other vendors like HP and if they have the native Windows 7 mobile broadband drivers available.
I have a Dell Mini 9 with HSPA 5530 3G Mobile modem running Windows 7. I´m looking for those drivers with no luck on dell support site, do you know if my modem is supported?
Um, these have been avail for months. At least for my Latitude e6400 with the Sprint 520 card.
Wait, I see. Nevermind.
I have a Vodafone Dell Wireless 5520 Vodafone Mobile Broadband (3G HSDPA) MiniCard build in my Latitude D630. I only can find the Vista and XP drivers. I have the old version drivers released months ago but these are not completely integrated in Windows 7.
Can you provide the link to the download of these drivers?
For my Dell Mini 9 5530 modem I found this driver on ftp.us.dell.com/.../DELL_WIRELESS-5530-HSPA-MINI_A11_R242762.exe
Now it works smoothly.
