    WinPE Licensing Question

I have a quick question about WinPE licensing.

Background: I work for a corporation who has an EA.  We have completed the initial term and recently renewed.  We've rolled out WinXP and Office 2003 and have perpetual licenses for both.

Now, imagine we were bankrupt and could cancel contracts without penalty.

Part of the Software Assurance / EA renewal is the right to use WinPE.  The question I have is this:

Was the license for WinPE acquired in the intial term of the EA when we acquired WinXP or does the right solely come from the EA and the Software Assurance?  If we could cancel the renewal, would we still have the right to use WinPE or would we forfeit the right?

    Thanks!

    Re: WinPE Licensing Question

I think you should call your contact man at Microsoft and ask him, I'm not Microsoft worker but I'm thinking that only Microsoft can give you the correct answer.
